Google Meet Integration Guide

Overview

Generate Google Meet links from Pointerly events and workflows with optional advanced space settings.

Adding the app (required)

  1. Sign in to Pointerly.
  2. Open Dashboard > Integrations.
  3. Open Google Meet.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Complete provider authorization and grant requested permissions.
  6. Return to Pointerly and confirm status is Connected.

Usage (required)

Create Meet links from events

Use case: Attach meeting links directly inside timeline and event workflows.

Prerequisites:

  • Google Meet connected
  1. Open event creation or edit flow.
  2. In attachments, choose Add meeting > Google Meet.
  3. Save and verify generated Meet URL.

Enable advanced space settings

Use case: Apply auto notes, recording, and transcription defaults.

Prerequisites:

  • Scope: meetings.space.settings
  • Advanced settings enabled
  1. Open Integrations > Google Meet settings.
  2. Enable advanced space settings and configure defaults.
  3. Reconnect integration if prompted for missing scope.

Removing the app (required)

Disconnect from Pointerly

  1. Open Dashboard > Integrations > Google Meet.
  2. Click Disconnect.

Remove from provider account

  1. Open Google Meet connected apps/integrations settings.
  2. Remove or revoke Pointerly app access.

Deauthorization implications

  • Integration state is set to disconnected in Pointerly.
  • Stored OAuth token fields are cleared.
  • Provider API actions are blocked until reconnect.

Troubleshooting

OAuth connect fails

  • Retry connection from Dashboard > Integrations.
  • Confirm you are authorizing the intended provider account.
  • Verify team has required plan/add-on entitlement for this provider.

Permission or scope errors

  • Reconnect the integration and approve requested scopes.
  • Check provider settings to ensure required account-level permissions are granted.
